Anna's hummingbird is a medium-sized bird of the Trochilidae family.  The bird was named after the Duchess of Ravoli, Anna Massena.  The hummingbird is native to Western coastal regions of the United States.  Anna's hummingbird is bred in Baja California and Southern California.  You can find Anna's hummingbirds from Northern Baja California, to inland southern and Central Arizona, extreme Southern Nevada and Southeastern Utah, and Western Texas.  They are very territorial and tend to be permanent residents within their range.  Hummingbirds do not migrate. Their rate of speed about 61 mph.
